Darakht-e Danesh Library

The Darakht-e Danesh Library is a digital collection of free and open educational resources for teachers, students, and anyone with a curious mind in Afghanistan. It has more than 2000 resources -- including audio and visual materials -- in over 100 subjects, in 3 languages (Dari/Farsi, Pashto, English) with additional languages being added soon (Uzbeki, Nooristani, Munji). The Library is part of the Technology for Education Program at CW4WAfghan, a Canadian charity working in Afghanistan for the past 20 years. This program includes education and outreach activities to help teacher colleges, schools and NGOs use the resources in the library, develop and share their own OER, and to understand the role of teaching materials in the learning process. The library has been installed in its offline version, DD Library LITE, in 12 teacher colleges in Afghanistan.
